In the great year that will see the Diamond Jubilee, the Olympics and a selection of key cultural events hitting the capital and the rest of the UK, we’re delighted to announce the Bulgarian Film Festival, a traditional showcase for new and established Bulgarian film talent, which returns to London for the sixth time from 14th to 17th June 2012.

The festival takes place at Riverside Studios – a small and cozy arts and media centre on the banks of the River Thames in Hammersmith, West London - easily accessible from various transport links at any time of day.

The exciting and diverse programme of new Bulgarian films demonstrates the strength of creative talent being fostered in Bulgaria and ranges from established filmmakers and movie hits (including Cannes-selected "Eastern Plays," Oscar-nominated “TILT” and the blockbuster "LOVE.NET") to new emerging talent from low cost productions such as "Laura from morning till evening," filmed ‘in good faith’ with camera Canon 7D.

Organisers of the festival are the Bulgarian Embassy in London and "Bulgarian Creative Arts" Club, which is promoting and providing international opportunities for talented Bulgarian artists.

On the 6th Film Festival, Ivo Varbanov, Executive Director of “Bulgarian Creative Arts” said “This year will be very special. Bulgarian cinema’s boom of the past few years has created some wonderful new titles and we are extremely proud to share this colourful palette of beautiful movies with the Bulgarian community in London’.
