Participants are invited to dress for the event as various gangster types, depending on preferences. The choices you may wish to consider are many:
stylish gangster from the 1920s - 30s golden era - The Great Gatsby, Al Capone, Bugsy Siegel are types that come to mind;
modern day Gangsta - think Tupac, Biggie, 50 Cent...;
Bulgarian mutra from the 1990s, with the requisite tracksuit and golden chains;
Japanese Yakudza - you need to start tattooing soon to be fully prepared in time for the party.
Ladies can get inspired by "Femme Fatale" outfits, or dress as Virginia Hill, Bonnie from "Bonnie and Clyde" or other angels of the underground world.
These are illustrative examples, but as always, make your own choices and use your imagination! We encourage the more stylish end of gangster dress - even our native mutri are all Versace these days.
Many of you requested at the AGM and on other occasions that some big BCC parties should take place during the weekend. True to our reputation as "The Listening Club", we will have this one on Saturday, to allow some serious bling entertainment till the small hours of the following day, in line with genuine gangster lifestyle. The party will be on 13 November, from 8.00 pm till late, at the the Champagne Bar of the now BCC-favourite Beaufort House Chelsea, 354 Kings Road, SW3 5UZ.
You know that almost all self-respecting gangsters and robber-barons become at certain stage collectors and sponsors of art. Therefore it is particularly apt that all proceeds from this party over the minimum spend will be donated by our Club to the organisation of the London Festival of Bulgarian Culture, taking place between 2- 26 November, 2010. Thus once again we will combine fun and support for Bulgarian causes in London. For more info on the festival, please go to its website: http://www.lfbc.eu.
A LIMITED AMOUNT OF TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR ON A FIRST-COME FIRST-SERVED BASIS.
THE PRICE OF THE TICKETS IS £25 FOR BOTH GUESTS AND NOT REGISTERED MEMBERS AND INCLUDE TWO FINE COCKTAILS.
